Moreton Districts Motocross inc formerly R&Dmxa (Redcliffe & District Motocross Association
inc) and before that the Redcliffe Motorcycle Club has been around since 1970 and affiliated to Motorcycling Australia (MA)
since 1973. The club has been a motocross club since it's beginning promoting motocross at various venues mainly in the Redcliffe
area. The Club is now leasing the Motocross track at Tivoli Raceway. This has proved to be the best move we have ever made.
The Club has gone ahead in leaps and bounds over the past four years. We have now changed our name to MDMX to reflect the
area we are in. The track is owned by MQ and can only by used by licensed members of MA affiliated clubs, at organised club
and practice days. The Club meets on the first Monday of the month. We hold all meetings at Tivoli Raceway, the meetings start
at 6.00 pm.
Although the main activity of the club is competition based, riders using the track do not have
to be competitive, but they must have an MA licence. One Meeting or yearly Recreational Licences are available. Non competitive
or riders just looking for somewhere to ride are welcome to use the track on the designated practice days, provided they meet
the conditions of use (which are outlined later in this brochure).
The club will be holding club days (approximately one per Month when possible) on Sundays from
8.00am. To compete at these club days you must have a MA licence, either a national, club or one meeting licence (which will
be available on the day). The classes run, will depend on the riders present, but will range from 50cc Auto to Veterans. Medical
personnel will be present and small awards/trophies will be presented, with points accumulating towards the Club Championship.
(Phone the club for more info)
The Club offers several services to it's members.
1. The previously mentioned use of the track for practice and club days.
2. Members of the club will be issued with an ID card which will entitle members to discounts
at some motorcycle retail outlets.
3. We can assist new riders with info on machine preparation and maintenance.
4. Rider training can also be arranged, not only for beginners but also advanced riders. We
have now included Riding Schools as part of the Working Bees on Saturdays before Club Days. These Schools will also be used
for rider assessment.
5. A trading post will also be included in our monthly newsletter to assist riders with the
sale and purchase of bikes and riding gear.
